Free Speech on its Death Bed in Europe

Posted in Cultural Marxism, ONLINE DEBATE with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on April 24, 2017 by drjgelb

Professor Paul Cliteur had some interesting things to say during the recent Geert Wilders trial in which he gave excellent rational evidence supporting Mr Wilders right to ask his supporters at a meeting in an Hague bar whether they desired more or less (fewer) Moroccans to immigrate to The Netherlands. Sadly, the Dutch judges, blinded by ideology, decided to officially turn Moroccans into a ‘race’ in order to convict & sentence Geert Wilders for “hate speech” anyway.

The You Tuber who posted this video named “political correctness” as the Judges’ new “religion”. I think he nearly got it right but the truth is actually far more sinister.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS is not the religion in question but is one of that religion’s weapons. That religion is Marxism. “Progressives” are more than “unconscious” of being pawns in a tried & tested strategy of the Left, they are IGNORANT of the full historical background that underpins the symbiotic relationship between Marxism, Progressivism, & Social Justice Activism. The entire adult population of Europe would greatly benefit from carefully reading Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”, which is the left’s blueprint for action following the failure of Bolshevism to be taken up outside of the Soviet Union, mainly due to its heavy reliance on violence, murder & terror. With little stomach for walking in Lenin & Stalin’s bloody footprints, international Marxists, inspired & guided by Alinsky, began the long task of sowing division amongst disparate groups in society by labelling them as “oppressed” & then pitting these “oppressed minorities”, women, blacks, homosexuals, transgendered, Muslims, Latinos etc against the state and simultaneously against each other by exaggerating the disparities in government responsiveness to their grievances. Alinsky taught his followers to pretend to care about the minorities they spurred to rebel & protest and he would actually yell at any idealists in the class who appeared empathetic to the targeted minorities. So what did he yell? He told them that the purpose of their focus on minorities was to foment a climate that favoured Revolution & that Revolution must be the penultimate goal of everything they were doing. And finally, what is the ultimate prize that Marxists desperately seek? Total, unbridled POWER! Power to destroy democracy & freedom and to replace it with a Marxist system in which loyalty to the state was rewarded and merit/achievement counted for nothing, where the property of those who strived & succeeded would be confiscated by the state & redistributed to those who had not, where a new elite would rob the nation blind & line their pockets with gold, while the rest of the population simply learned to line up in endless queues to buy whatever was not in shortage. If you recognise Venezuela in this scenario, it is no surprise, as the Marxist experiment has falied multiple times in exactly the same way – just as predicted so many years ago by the famous economists of the Ludwig Von Mises Institute. Google “Cultural Marxism” & learn what Social Justice Warriors & their “handlers” are really on about!

SLAVERY, TERRORISM AND ISLAM: THE HISTORICAL ROOTS AND CONTEMPORARY THREAT – Book by Dr Peter Hammond

Islamisation begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges. When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse (multicultural) societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.

Here’s how it works:

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 3% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving Minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:
                 United States — Muslim 2%
                  Australia — Muslim 2.5%
                  Canada — Muslim 2.8%
                  Norway — Muslim 2.8%
                  China — Muslim 2.9%
                  Italy — Muslim 2.5%

At 3% to 8%, they begin to proselytise from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs.

                  This is happening in:

                  Denmark — Muslim 5%
                  Germany — Muslim 6.7%
                  United Kingdom — Muslim 7.7%
                  Spain — Muslim 8%
                  Thailand — Muslim 7.6%

From 8% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply.

                 This is occurring in:

                  France — Muslim 12%
                  Philippines — 9%
                  Sweden — Muslim 8%
                  Switzerland — Muslim 8.3%
                  The Netherlands — Muslim 8.5%
                  Trinidad Tobago — Muslim 10.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 15% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam.

Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in:

                  Guyana — Muslim 15%
                  India — Muslim 19.4%
                  Israel — Muslim 16%
                  Kenya — Muslim 18%
                  Russia — Muslim 21%

After reaching 25%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

                  Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

                  Bosnia — Muslim 40%
                  Chad — Muslim 53.1%
                  Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non- believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

                  Albania — Muslim 70%
                  Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
                  Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
                  Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in:

                  Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
                  Egypt — Muslim 90%
                  Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
                  Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
                  Iran — Muslim 98%
                  Iraq — Muslim 97%
                  Jordan — Muslim 92%
                  Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
                  Pakistan — Muslim 97%
                  Syria — Muslim 90%
                  Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
                  Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
                  UAE — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace.. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

                  Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
                  Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
                  Somalia — Muslim 100%
                  Yemen — Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

“Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us against the infidel”. — Leon Uris, ‘The Haj’

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.

Today’s 2 billion Muslims make up 28% of the world’s population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world’s population by the end of this century.

IRAN MAKES ITS INTENTIONS OF NUCLEAR GENOCIDE OF ISRAEL CRYSTAL CLEAR

Posted in MIDDLE-EAST POLITICS with tags , , , on February 1, 2015 by drjgelb
I have written to my Member of Federal Parliament as follows:

Hon. MP Kelly O’Dwyer,

Current U.S. administration negotiations with Iran are a farce and Obama clearly sees no urgency in preventing Iran acquiring nuclear weapons.

The Iranian video below, like Ayatollah Khamenei’s published plan to annihilate Israel, amounts to global forewarning of its intentions.

Ignorant arguments that Iran would be committing national suicide, demonstrate a total failure to understand ISLAM and the crucial difference between suicide and martyrdom. In Islam, Jihaddist Martyrs are never called “suicide bombers”. That term is a Western invention to give an understandable name to a 1400yr old honourable way of reaching paradise. Iran cannot wait to destroy Israel, no matter the cost! They believe that any number of martyrs is worth fulfilling Muhammad’s command to destroy the Jews and that by doing so, Shia Islam will prove itself the only true Islam.

Australia must speak up and do all in its power to prevent Obama et al fiddling while Iran plans nuclear genocide.

Watch the video and be very alarmed.

Your feedback would be very much appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Jerry Gelb

PALESTINIAN PROPAGANDA

Posted in MIDDLE-EAST POLITICS with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 6, 2014 by drjgelb

Palestinians and their historically illiterate leftist champions, are escalating their rhetoric on an almost daily basis and antisemites are rejoicing to see Jews equated with the Nazis. This despicable distortion of the facts in a desperate attempt to establish moral equivalency between the industrial genocide of the Nazis and the exponential population explosion in the West Bank & Gaza is nonetheless succeeding on the hundreds of University campuses that receive Saudi funding as part of the Wahabbist’s $680 Billion global Islamisation initiative that has built 3000 Islamic Madrasah and hundreds of Mosques from which their Jihad by stealth gains increasing support and fanatic devotion. It is worth reminding readers who the Palestinians are and asking why on Earth would intelligent, educated Westerners support their fraudulent claims without fact-checking.

From an unknown source:

“CONCERNING PALESTINIANS”

“Just which Palestinians are you all talking about? The Palestinians who, in 1948, fled their homes to neighboring countries when the Arab world attacked Israel and told the Palestinians they can return after Israel is destroyed?

Or the Palestinians who lived in the West Bank under Jordanian (then Transjordan) occupation and annexation when Jordan attacked Israel in 1967 and lost both the war and the West Bank to Israel?

Or the Palestinians who, while living in Jordan in the 1970s, envisioned Jordan becoming their Palestinian state and started a civil war where King Hussein ultimately killed thousands of Palestinians and forcibly removed many from of his country, making them refugees?

Or the Palestinians who entered the Olympic Village in Munich, Germany, and murdered 11 Israeli athletes?

Or the Palestinians who infiltrated a high school in Ma’alot, Israel, took 102 students hostage, injured 50 and murdered 22?

Or the Palestinians who, among others, hijacked an Air France jetliner to Entebbe, Uganda, and held hostage more than 100 Israelis?

Or the Palestinians who were exiled from Jordan to a peaceful Lebanon and started a civil war that cost more than 120,000 lives and created more refugees, with many exiled from Lebanon?

Or the Palestinians who hijacked the Achille Lauro ocean liner and shot, murdered and threw overboard Leon Klinghoffer, a 69-year-old Jewish American paraplegic in a wheelchair?

Or the Palestinians in the Abu Nidal Organization who murdered an estimated 600 Palestinians from rival factions?

Or the Palestinians who wrote and live by the Hamas Charter that states, among other things, “… Israel will rise and will remain erect until Islam eliminates it as it had eliminated its predecessors”?

Or the Palestinians who enticed young and susceptible Palestinians to become suicide bombers with the promise that when they murder Israelis, they’ll receive rich rewards in the afterlife and financial security for their families?

Or the thousands of Palestinians in Ramallah who cheered as the bodies of two Israeli soldiers were thrown from a second story window after they were tortured and hacked to death?

Or the Palestinians who honored a suicide bomber with a military funeral for murdering 15 people (including seven children and five from one family) at the Sbarro pizza café in Jerusalem?

Or the thousands of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza captured on video cheering as two airliners purposely crashed into the Twin Towers on 9/11?

Or the Palestinian families who received $25,000 from Saddam Hussein for their children’s “successful” suicide bombings?

Or a Palestinian like Yasser Arafat (although he was Egyptian born), who became a billionaire by stealing money from other Palestinians as they lived in squalor?

Or the Qatari born and Egyptian-raised Omar Barghouti (who refers to himself as a Palestinian), who co-founded the boycott, divestment, and [including educational] sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel while getting his doctorate at an Israeli university?

Or the Palestinians from Hamas (a group the U.S. and other countries label a terrorist organization) who, when they took control of Gaza, shot several hundred Fatah Palestinians in the legs, purposely crippling them for life?

Or the more than 100 Palestinians from Fatah crippled by Palestinians from Hamas who, at the confidential request from Mahmoud Abbas to Shimon Peres, received new legs and rehabilitation at a medical center in Israel
Or the two Palestinians who proudly confessed to the knife attack and murder of five members of the Fogel family, including the father, mother, and three of their six children, ages 11, 4 and 3 months?

Or the Palestinian mother, Raida Abu-Mustaffa, whose baby’s life was saved through funding and a rare heart operation by a Jewish doctor at an Israeli hospital, yet the mother dreamed that her daughter would one day become a martyr?

Or the gay Palestinian man who, while living in Tel Aviv (considered one of the gay-friendliest cities in the world), pleaded with Israel’s high court not to be deported to the West Bank because it would lead to persecution by his family and his detention, torture and death by Palestinian security forces?

Or the Palestinians in the West Bank who, in 2013, committed 27 honor killings against their wives, sisters and daughters?

Or the Palestinians who, since childhood, have been educated by books and newspapers that claim Jews are sub-human, satanic and animals, and that Israel is the root of all of their problems?

Or the Palestinians who grew up in refugee camps while Saudi Arabia, Libya, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait and Brunei became some of the wealthiest countries in world, gave virtually nothing to help the Palestinians and have purposely kept them in refugee camps as political tools since 1948?

Or the Palestinians who, for decades, promoted terrorism against Israel forcing Israel to build a security wall (that virtually ended all suicide bombings) and now call it the Apartheid Wall?

Or the Palestinians who, after Israel voluntarily withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, giving the Palestinians land and self-determination, have fired more than 11,000 rockets at Israel, killing Israelis and causing thousands of injuries?

Or the Palestinians who, since the Oslo Accords were signed in 1993, have committed thousands of terrorist acts (not including rocket attacks from Gaza), murdering 1,472 Israelis?

Or the Palestinians from Hamas who kidnapped and murdered three Jewish teenage yeshiva (Torah study) students?

Or the Palestinians who denounced Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas because he condemned the kidnapping and murder of the three Jewish teens?

Or the Palestinian mother of Abu Aysha (one of the suspected murderers of the three Israeli teens) who said if he truly did it … “I’ll be proud of him till my final day. … I raised my children on the knees of the [Islamic] religion … their goal is to bring the victory of Islam”?

Or the Palestinian father of 17-year-old Mohammed Khdair, apparently murdered in retaliation for the three yeshiva boys, who said, “Whether Jew or Arab, who would accept that his son or daughter would be kidnapped and killed? And you want Israel to stop the bloodshed”?

A SENSIBLE ARTICLE ON WHAT IT WILL TAKE TO DESTROY ISIS – REBLOGGED

If You Want To Stop ISIS, Here Is What It Will Take    by Angelo M. Codevilla

The Islamic State’ video-dissemination of one of its goons beheading an American is an existential challenge from which we cannot afford to shrink. Until the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS) did that, it made sense for the U.S. government to help contain it because the Islamic world, which the IS threatens most directly, must destroy it sooner or later. But internetting that beheading was a gory declaration of America’s impotence—a dare-by-deed that is sure to move countless young persons around the globe to get in on killing us, anywhere they can. The longer the Islamic State survives, the more will take up its dare. Either we kill the IS, or we will deserve the wave of terrorism that will engulf us.

Killing the IS requires neither more nor less than waging war—not as the former administration waged its “war on terror,” nor by the current administration’s pinpricks, nor according to the too-clever-by-half stratagems taught in today’s politically correct military war colleges, but rather by war in the dictionary meaning of the word. To make war is to kill the spirit as well as the body of the enemy, so terribly as to make sure that it will not rise again, and that nobody will want to imitate it.

That requires first isolating the Islamic State politically and physically to deprive all within it of the capacity to make war, and even to eat. Then it requires killing all who bear arms and all who are near them.

Why It’s Now Our Business

The Islamic State is a lot more than a bunch of religious extremists. Its diverse composition as well as its friends and enemies in the region define its strength and its vulnerabilities. Its dependence on outside resources, its proximity to countries with the capacity and incentive to strike serious blows, and its desert location, make its destruction possible with little U.S. involvement on the ground, and providing the United States uses its economic and diplomatic power in a decisive manner.

It would have been better for America not to have taken sides in that region’s reshuffling, or to have done so decisively in a manner that commanded respect.
Geopolitically, the creation of a Sunni Arab state in western Mesopotamia should not be any of America’s business. For a thousand years, Sunni Assyrian Arabs from the northwest have fought for exclusive control of that area, against countervailing pressure from Shia Persians from the southeast and their Arab co-religionists. All the while, Kurds held fast to their northern mountains. In recent centuries, the Ottoman Empire arbitrated that ancient contest. In 1801, Sunni Wahabis from the Saudi clan invaded present-day Iraq and inflicted horrors that surpass even today’s. In response, the Ottomans nearly wiped out the Saudis and tortured the Wahabi leaders in the main cities of the empire. It would have been better for America not to have taken sides in that region’s reshuffling, or to have done so decisively in a manner that commanded respect. Alas, U.S. administrations of both parties intervened fecklessly. We are reaping the results.

Now one of the parties to the struggle is making itself our business, and is doing so globally. We have to mind that business.

How to Command Respect Again

To kill IS, take note of its makeup: Sunni Wahabis from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, Syrian Sunnis who rebelled against the Alewite regime of the Assad family, the Naqshbandi army constituted by the Ba’athist cadre of Saddam Hussein’s army and security services that fled to Syria in 2003, that ran the war against the U.S. occupation, and that now runs the IS military, plus assorted jihadis from around the world including the United States and Western Europe.

Breaking the hold of ISIS on the people it now rules will require a rude ‘awakening.’
Note, as well, that the IS did not have to exert much power to conquer Sunni majority areas in either former Syria or former Iraq. The people there want to be ruled by Sunni, unless they are given a compelling reason to accept something else. In former Iraq, the local Sunni tribes supported the Sunni Ba’athists’ fight against the Americans until, in 2006, the Shia death squads slaughtered them in such numbers as to lead these tribes to beg for a deal with the Americans. What the American spinners called “the Sunni awakening” resulted from the reality of imminent Sunni mass death. Breaking the hold of the IS on the people it now rules will require a similarly rude “awakening.”

Note the material sources of the Islamic State’s power: supplies from and through Turkey’s Muslim Brotherhood government, paid for largely with money from notables in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, as well as from the government of Qatar. Beyond religious sectarianism, the motivation for this support is the Qataris’ and the Turks’ foreign policy seemingly based on promotion of Sunni political Islam wherever possible.

The first strike against the IS must be aimed at its sources of material support. Turkey and Qatar are very much part of the global economy—one arena where the U.S. government has enormous power, should it decide to use it. If and when—a key if—the United States decides to kill the IS, it can simply inform Turkey, Qatar, and the world it will have zero economic dealings with these countries and with any country that has any economic dealing with them, unless these countries cease any and all relations with the IS. This un-bloody step—no different from the economic warfare the United States waged in World War II—is both essential and the touchstone of seriousness. Deprived of money to pay for “stuff” and the Turkish pipeline for that stuff, the IS would start to go hungry, lose easy enthusiasm, and wear out its welcome.

Next, the Air War

Striking at the state’s belly would also be one of the objectives of the massive air campaign that the U.S. government could and should orchestrate. “Orchestrate.” Not primarily wage.

Saudi Arabia has some 300 U.S. F-15 fighter planes plus another hundred or so modern combat aircraft, with bases that can be used conveniently for strikes against the IS. Because Saudi Arabia is key to the IS’s existence, to any campaign to destroy it, and to any U.S. decision regarding such a campaign, a word about the Saudi role is essential.

Wahabism validates the Saudis’ Islamic purity while rich Saudis live dissolute lives—a mutually rewarding, but tenuous deal for all.
The IS ideology is neither more nor less than that of the Wahabi sect, which is the official religion of Saudi Arabia, which has been intertwined with its royal family since the eighteenth century, and which Saudi money has made arguably the most pervasive version of Islam in the world (including the United States). Wahabism validates the Saudis’ Islamic purity while rich Saudis live dissolute lives—a mutually rewarding, but tenuous deal for all. But increasingly, the Saudi royals have realized they are riding a tiger. Wahabi-educated youth are seeing the royals for what they are. The IS, by declaring itself a Caliphate, explicitly challenged the Saudis’ legitimacy. The kingdom’s Grand Mufti, a descendant of Ab al Wahab himself, declared the IS an enemy of Islam. But while the kingdom officially forbids its subjects from joining IS, its ties with Wahabism are such that it would take an awful lot to make the kingdom wage war against it.

American diplomacy’s task is precisely to supply that awful lot.

Given enough willpower, America has enough leverage to cause the Saudis to fight in their own interest. Without American technicians and spare parts, the Saudi arsenal is useless. Nor does Saudi Arabia have an alternative to American protection. If a really hard push were required, the U.S. government might begin to establish relations with the Shia tribes that inhabit the oil regions of eastern Arabia.

Day after day after day, hundreds of Saudi (and Jordanian) fighters, directed by American AWACS radar planes, could systematically destroy the Islamic State—literally anything of value to military or even to civil life. It is essential to keep in mind that the Islamic State exists in a desert region which offers no place to hide and where clear skies permit constant, pitiless bombing and strafing. These militaries do not have the excessive aversions to collateral damage that Americans have imposed upon themselves.

Destruction from the air, of course, is never enough. Once the Shia death squads see their enemy disarmed and hungry, the United States probably would not have to do anything for the main engine of massive killing to descend on the Islamic State and finish it off. U.S. special forces would serve primarily to hunt down and kill whatever jihadists seemed to be escaping the general disaster of their kind.

That would be war—a war waged by a people with whom nobody would want to mess. Many readers are likely to comment: “but we’re not going to do anything like that.” They may be correct. In which case, the consequences are all too predictable.

PETITION TO REFER THE ISLAMIC STATE’S LEADERSHIP TO THE ICC

Posted in MIDDLE-EAST POLITICS with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on August 17, 2014 by drjgelb

I signed an online petition today that has collected tens of thousands of signatures calling for international partners to refer the Islamic State to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity. A few hours after I signed the petition, this automated reply from the British Foreign Secretary arrived:

“Thank you for your email.

The Foreign Secretary is receiving a large volume of emails on Iraq and abuses being carried out by actions by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). He regrets that he is unable to reply personally to each one.

The Foreign Secretary shares the concerns of many in the UK about the suffering of civilians in Iraq and condemns in the strongest possible terms the atrocities that are being committed by ISIL. They are targeting people of all religions and ethnicity, different ages, male and female, including the most vulnerable.

We now have confirmed reports that ISIL continues to kidnap large numbers of people, mostly women, and credible information that women and children are being held by ISIL in a number of locations. We have confirmed reports that some women have been executed, possibly because they refused to change their religion, while others have been sold or allocated as slaves. We are also receiving distressing reports from displaced persons fleeing ISIL of family separation and their heinous crimes.

We utterly condemn the acts of horrific violence and slavery reportedly being carried out by ISIL in areas under its control. These are serious breaches of the Geneva Conventions and all parties to the conflict must do everything in their power to prevent them and to protect the civilian population.

The Government is working closely with the United Nations, the Iraqi authorities and international partners to ease the humanitarian situation in Iraq, including providing humanitarian support assistance to displaced people, many of whom have been the victims of ISIL’s abuses and persecution.

Internationally, the UK chaired an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on 7 August to discuss ISIL’s attacks and the humanitarian situation. The UK Government has driven UN Security Council Resolution 2170, which was unanimously adopted at the UN Security Council on 15 August. This builds on our strong contribution to the humanitarian response to the current crisis in Iraq by providing measures to choke ISIL’s recruitment and financing and sanctioning ISIL individuals.

Any decision to refer to the International Criminal Court must be made on the basis of what will be the most effective means to bring the perpetrators of these atrocities to account. We will look at every available option to ensure accountability and to work with our international partners on what can be done to both assist the victims and to bring those responsible to justice.

If you have contacted the FCO as a member of the public, thank you for your email. Your email will be forwarded to the relevant part of the FCO for reply.”
